The City of Perris is located within Riverside County, California and is home to approximately 47,000 residents. The city was named to honor Fred T. Perris who was the chief engineer of the California Southern Railroad which came through Perris in the 1880s on its way from Barstow to San Diego. Well known as a popular location for amateur and professional skydiving, Perris has come to be known as "the skydiving capital of America."

Perris Transportation

Perris is located on Interstate 215 as it intersects with California Hightway 74. Access to Interstate 15 is also available about ten miles to the south in neighboring Lake Elsinore. Air travel can be accessed via Ontario International (code: ONT, about 34 miles northwest).
